Club for Growth Action and Freedom Works for America have each announced grassroots
campaigns to turnout conservative voters for the January 5, 2021 Georgia Senate runoff elections.
The Freedom Works for America campaign launched last week with a week-long “Keep Georgia Red” tour to rally behind Sens. Loeffler and Perdue as they head into runoff elections. The tour, spanning over 500 miles, began in Savannah and will conclude with a digital day of action on Saturday, December 12. The tour also included rallies in Augusta, McDonough, and Columbus.
A statement released by Freedom Works for America spokesman Peter Vicenzi said, “Knowing well that these runoff elections will determine the direction of national politics for the next four years, more than 500 grassroots activists showed up to last week’s rallies to echo speakers’ calls to re-elect the Republican senators and maintain a firewall against Democrats’ radical policy agenda. Since the announcement of the runoffs, our activists have been on the ground in Georgia, having knocked over 50,000 doors and sent out more than 550,000 GOTV peer-to-peer texts thus far. By January 5th, our activists will have sent out more than two million texts and knocked close to 200,000 doors.”
Club for Growth Action will kick off its 'Save America Tour' with stops in Marietta and Gainesville, Georgia on Friday, December 11th, 2020. The events will feature remarks from former Vice Presidential Candidate Sarah Palin, Senator Steve Daines, Representative Jim Jordan, and other Republicans in support of reelection for Senator Kelly Loeffler and Senator David Perdue in the January 5th, 2021 Senate runoffs.
Club for Growth Action President David McIntosh, who will join the bus tour, said, “I’m very much looking forward to joining conservative champions from across the country in Georgia for the Save America Bus Tour. These two races will determine control of the Senate, and it’s vital that we prevent radical liberals from turning every American institution that we cherish into a vehicle for their ultimate goal of imposing socialism on our country.”
In addition to hosting the Save American Bus Tour, Club for Growth Action is spending $10 million on GOTV activities, media, and mail, knocking 1 million doors, and leading the Save America Coalition which has two goals. The first is to educate the public about the policy positions of Senators Perdue and Loeffler and their importance to the future of America. Separately, political committees in the coalition will help the reelection efforts of Senators Perdue and Loeffler in the January 5, 2021 runoffs and thus prevent Democrats from becoming the majority party in the Senate. Additional details for the second leg of the bus tour which will take place January 3rd to the 4th will be announced in the near future.
