One of the primary tools the Left has used to advance the Cultural Marxist agenda is the redefinition of common words and concepts to mean something entirely new and contrary to their original meaning or common understanding.
Dr. James Lindsay, in his 2022 essay “Three Terms Communists Redefined to Subvert Society,“ pointed out that, “Some of these strategic equivocations about the meanings of words are more impactful than others. Currently, there are just three terms that have been profoundly subverted and are being used to transform our society by Communists for Communist ends. These are inclusion, democracy, and citizenship. All three are being redefined together. Understanding how this manipulation is taking place is key to neutralizing it, and that starts with understanding how these three words are being strategically misused.”
To Lindsay’s list of three I’d like to add another word that has been profoundly subverted: care, as in health care.
To the Left the concept of health “care” has been completely redefined to eliminate an element that has been crucial to health care since ancient times: First, do no harm.
So, in Marxist transgender ideology transgender “care” means using medical intervention to allow mentally ill people to act out their mental illness in acts of doctor-assisted self-mutilation.
In this backwards concept of “care” young boys are castrated in obscene reenactments of the 17th century procedure to produce the castrati; grotesque freaks of the music world who would never grow into puberty.
Even in the 18th century, the practice was considered grotesque. The side effects of castration were often gigantism or obese bottoms and legs. To justify the procedure, parents informed the magistrates that their sons had been bitten by a wild pig or fallen from a horse, both injuries that were apparently “remedied” by castration, wrote Italy-based novelist and culture writer Stacey Eskelin.
While the Left frequently decries the female genital mutilation practiced in some Muslim cultures. Young girls, in procedures that defy the cruelty of female genital mutilation in traditional Muslim culture are completely remade to resemble men, with their breasts removed and their internal and external genitalia removed and reengineered.
The result?
According to reporting by Meike Leonard for the Dailymail.Com, “55% of trans women who have ‘bottom surgery' are in so much pain they need medical care years later, according to study of dozens of cases — and up to a third struggle to use the toilet or have sex.”
This is clearly not “care” as the word is commonly understood, it is more like a form medically assisted self-injury disorder.
However, in a bizarre replay of the 17th and 18th century culture that brought forth the castrati, judges have now been enlisted to ensure that the practice of medically assisted transgender mutilation is allowed to continue.
Parents no longer must claim that their children have been bitten by a wild pig or fallen from a horse, instead they merely have to find the right federal judge to challenge state laws limiting or banning the sexual mutilation of minors.
In its last Session the Florida legislature passed SB 254, prohibiting parents from subjecting their children to “sex-reassignment prescriptions or procedures.” SB 254 does not prohibit such care for citizens 18 or older.
However, SB 254 has now been blocked by U.S. District Judge Robert L. Hinkle of the U.S. District Court for the Northern District of Florida in Tallahassee who appears to have completely accepted the Marxist redefinition of “care.”
Judge Hinkle, who was appointed by President Bill Clinton, wrote in his decision granting an injunction that “The statute and the rules were an exercise in politics, not good medicine…”
“Any proponent of the challenged statute and rules should put up or shut up: do you acknowledge that there are individuals with actual gender identities opposite their natal sex, or do you not? Dog whistles ought not be tolerated,” Hinkle wrote in his order.
Currently, the injunction applies only to the three plaintiffs: Susan Doe, an 11-year-old boy who thinks he is a girl; Gavin Goe, an eight-year-old girl who thinks she is a boy; and Lisa Loe, an 11-year-old boy who thinks he is a girl.
However, the plaintiffs, assisted by lawyers affiliated with various proponents of transgender ideology, are seeking to make it a class action suit and broaden the case, thus nullifying the legislation, should they prevail, as Judge Hinkle has signaled they will.
Just as Marxists have redefined inclusion, democracy, and citizenship they have now redefined “care” to mean almost the opposite of what it once did – acting to restore the person, mentally and physically to normal functioning. There’s nothing normal about a man pretending to be a woman and undergoing grotesque surgical procedures to try to convince himself – and others – that he’s a woman, and judges should not buy into this Marxist redefinition of “care” to permit it to be applied to children.
