Earlier this week, Dr. Rochelle Walensky, Joe Biden’s director of the Centers for Disease Control and Prevention, issued another dire warning about a possible fourth surge of the
coronavirus, saying she felt a sense of “impending doom.”
A short time after Dr. Walensky made that panic-inducing comment Biden came out and demanded states to restore mask mandates to avoid another “surge” of COVID-19. Biden said “I’m reiterating my call for every governor, mayor, and local leader to maintain and reinstate the mask mandate. Please. This is not politics. Reinstate the mandate if you let it down.”
After all that we feel a sense of impending doom too, but it is for the future of constitutional liberty, not the health of our fellow Americans.
Walensky, her totalitarian bureaucratic colleagues masquerading as scientists, and her witless Boss, Joe Biden, are doing their level best to crush the American idea of individual liberty by using the corona virus to keep the citizens they are supposed to be serving in a constant state of abject fear.
Why else issue this constant stream of panic-inducing statements at the same time bragging about how many Americans have received a vaccination against COVID-19?
After all, the vaccine is supposed to immunize one against infection by the virus, and thus prevent the COVID-19-related diseases, such as the deadly lung condition that killed thousands of elderly New Yorkers when Governor Andrew Cuomo mandated infected patients be received into the state’s nursing homes.
So, if the vaccine works, why tell people to continue to wear a mask if they’ve been vaccinated? Why demand states reinstitute the mask mandate? Even better, why idiotically demand people wear two masks?
Shouldn’t Biden and Walensky be urging people to take Krispy Kreme up on their free donut offer and get vaccinated?
The answer is, of course, that none of those mask demands and mandates have any basis in science.
As “two weeks to flatten the curve” turns into “two years to destroy the middle class” the science against mask mandates and massive statewide business and school lockdowns has piled-up, particularly in Florida and South Dakota.
Florida rules, which have been in place for almost a year and put the Sunshine State in the middle of the pack as far as COVID cases go, and in much better shape than lockdown mask mandate states like California, New York and New Jersey.
And a big part of the problem is that the so-called science in favor of many oppressive COVID mitigation regulations is looking less and less like science and more and more like a science-free power grab by government.
For example, is there science in favor of a mask requirement?
Let’s not forget on Feb. 29, 2020 the U.S. surgeon general Dr. Jerome Adams tweeted that masks do not offer any benefit to the average citizen.

About a month later, on Friday, April 3, NPR reported the Centers for Disease Control and Prevention recommended that Americans wear "cloth face coverings fashioned from household items or made at home from common materials ... as an additional, voluntary public health measure."
Epidemiologist, Professor Carl Heneghan, who leads the Centre for Evidence-Based Medicine at the University of Oxford, and has spent his entire career evaluating and interpreting scientific evidence for scientists and the public, dared to point out that the only published randomized study on the efficacy of face masks calls into question their effectiveness against COVID-19 infection. For his trouble he received a social media flaying but no scientific rebuttal.
So, it should surprise no one that just two weeks ago Dr. Anthony Fauci admitted that the Centers for Disease Control and Prevention does not always rely on scientific data and evidence to inform its coronavirus mitigation guidelines.
And all that says nothing about the arbitrary and capricious enforcement of the mask and social distancing regulations, with various celebrities and politicians ignoring them without the kind of punishment regular “deplorable” people have faced for defying mask mandates. For example, President Joe Biden’s special climate envoy, former Secretary of State John Kerry, was spotted maskless in first class on a commercial flight from Boston to Washington D.C. just a few weeks after President Biden promulgated his “no mask no fly” rule.
