Congress passed a “clean” 45-day temporary measure to keep the government open while the House and Senate negotiate the final bill. Republicans in the House had been pushing for border security measures -- particularly H.R. 2, the House GOP’s signature border security and asylum reform legislation — to be included in any stopgap funding bill. A vote on a bill that included most of the "Secure the Border Act" failed on Friday after dissenting Republicans joined Democrats in voting against it.
Despite what the establishment media and Uniparty elected officials may tell you, the threatened government “shutdown” was about one thing and one thing only – closing the wide-open southern border.
Illegal alien encounters at the southern border hit an all-time record in September, Fox News has learned, with a massive 260,000 encounters as border officials struggle to cope with a historic crisis.
Customs and Border Protection (CBP) sources tell Fox News that total migrant encounters for September have exceeded 260,000, which is the highest monthly total ever recorded. That number includes both Border Patrol encounters between ports of entry and Office of Field Operations (OFO) encounters at ports.
Indeed, Newsweek reported the U.S. Border Patrol is reporting more than three times the number of encounters at the U.S.-Mexico border than it experienced under former President Donald Trump, punctuating what Republicans have defined as a "crisis" level situation at the southern border that has emerged under President Joe Biden's leadership.
Data from the U.S. Border Patrol (USBP) and Office of Field Operations (OFO) compiled by Newsweek show that the average number of encounters under Biden reached totals of roughly 189,000 per month, compared to an average of just under 51,000 per month during the Trump presidency.
The rate is so significant that Biden, in fewer than two years, has already racked up over one million more illegal crossings than Trump did throughout his entire administration—including more than 2 million crossings in 2022 alone.
According to the Federation for American Immigration Reform (FAIR), "By every metric, illegal immigration increased last month - at the Southwest border, the Northern border, unaccompanied children, family units and single adults. In the 30 months that President Biden has been in office, there have been 6.9 million CBP encounters and 1.7 million known gotaways."
This 8.6 million+ addition to our population is a number greater than the population of Virginia, it is eight times the population of Joe Biden’s home state of Delaware, and more than the combined populations of Wyoming, Vermont, Alaska, North Dakota, South Dakota, Delaware, Rhode Island, Montana, Maine, plus DC.
Combined with the estimated 30 million illegal aliens already here it means that about 10% of the residents of the United States are here illegally.
And despite the establishment media headlines these are not “migrant families,” five of every seven are fit young men of military age, many of them from hostile regimes, such as Venezuela and Communist China.

But it’s not just at the Texas – Mexico border.
According to an internal federal intelligence report obtained by The Daily Caller, Chinese migrants are taking boats from the Bahamas to illegally enter the United States through Florida.
The report indicates five incidents of Chinese migrants attempting to smuggle themselves into the United States from the Bahamas. A recent smuggling attempt reportedly occurred on July 16, involving six Chinese migrants.
“The Chinese purchased a Bahamian registered vessel in GBI and tested the capabilities before leaving and being interdicted in Palm Beach,” the report stated. “All 6 Chinese migrants were repatriated to the Bahamas.”
U.S. officials and experts have expressed concerns regarding the identity of the migrants and the possible dangers they could pose to the national security of the United States.
“When I first saw that the surge in Chinese migrants, that’s the thought that came to my mind that these are either Ministry of State Security agents or Chinese military, who are coming to this country to commit acts of sabotage against the US,” China expert Gordon Chang said.
The U.S. Customs and Border Protection data also reveals that Border Patrol agents caught over 14,000 illegal Chinese migrants at the southern border from October of 2022 to June of this year.
And Biden is doing nothing to stop them, indeed his administration is facilitating their entry.
Former president Donald Trump has called on congressional Republicans to stop President Joe Biden from "releasing and resettling" illegal immigrants crossing the southern border.
"The time for talk is over, now is the time for action. We need action," he said.
Mr. Trump also said they "cannot wait until 2025" to stop the President's nightmare on the border.
"That's why I'm calling on congressional Republicans to ban Joe Biden from using a single taxpayer dollar to release or resettle illegal aliens into the United States effective September 30."
Trump was right, but the House – due to dissention in the GOP Conference – didn’t pass a funding ban on illegal alien processing, transportation, and resettlement.
House Republicans now have 45 days to get this right. When federal agents are actively assisting illegal aliens to enter the United States, it is time to shut down the border or shut down the government. What is needed when dealing with the rogue Biden regime is not dissention in the GOP, but impeachments, a declaration of invasion by Texas, followed by the arrest of anyone assisting an illegal alien to enter the country, and troops (with flamethrowers if necessary) and watercraft to secure the Texas – Mexico border and our Caribbean maritime frontier.
