124 retired military officers have written an open letter defining the dire threats facing our country, among which are the mental and physical state of Commander in Chief Joe Biden, the
precedent set by the failure to investigate the fraud-tainted 2020 election, the rise of China as an implacable adversary and the tech oligarchy’s control of the free flow of information and ideas.
“We are in a fight for our survival as a Constitutional Republic like no other time since our founding in 1776. The conflict is between supporters of Socialism and Marxism vs. supporters of Constitutional freedom and liberty,” the letter charges.
The letter also echoed Democrat Speaker Nancy Pelosi’s questions about how the nuclear codes were to be handled in the Biden administration as evidence has mounted that there are widespread concerns about Democrat President Joe Biden’s mental acuity.
“The mental and physical condition of the Commander in Chief cannot be ignored. He must be able to quickly make accurate national security decisions involving life and limb anywhere, day or night,” the letter stated.
But it was the flag officer’s questions about how allegations of election fraud went uninvestigated that drew the most DC establishment ire.
“Without fair and honest elections that accurately reflect the 'will of the people' our Constitutional Republic is lost,” the letter from retired officers says. “The FBI and Supreme Court must act swiftly when election irregularities are surfaced and not ignore them as was done in 2020,” they wrote.
“Election integrity demands insuring there is one legal vote cast and counted per citizen. Legal votes are identified by State Legislature's approved controls using government IDs, verified signatures, etc,” the letter stated.
“Today, many are calling such commonsense [voter ID] controls 'racist' in an attempt to avoid having fair and honest elections. Using racial terms to suppress proof of eligibility is itself a tyrannical intimidation tactic,' the flag officers wrote.
Maj. Gen. Joe Arbuckle, who served in Vietnam and later commanded the US Army Industrial Operations Command (IOC) at Rock Island, Illinois, who organized the effort, told Politico: “Retired generals and admirals normally do not engage in political actions, but the situation facing our nation today is dire.”
He continued: “We are facing threats greater than at any other time since our country was founded. To remain silent would be a dereliction of duty.”
“China is the greatest external threat to America. Establishing cooperative relations with the Chinese Communist Party emboldens them to continue progress toward world domination, militarily, economically, politically, and technologically. We must impose more sanctions and restrictions to impede their world domination goal and protect America’s interests,” the letter added.
The letter also calls for the Big Tech protections of Section 230 to be removed.
“The free flow of information is critical to the security of our Republic, as illustrated by freedom of speech and the press being in the 1st Amendment of our Constitution. Censoring speech and expression, distorting speech, spreading disinformation by government officials, private entities, and the media is a method to suppress the free flow of information, a tyrannical technique used in closed societies. We must counter this on all fronts beginning with removing Section 230 protection from big tech.”
There has been a lot of Far Left criticism of the letter from progressives such as Hillary Clinton and Paula G. Thornhill, a retired U.S. Air Force brigadier general and acting director of Strategic Studies at Johns Hopkins University, who complained about the lack of diversity of the signers and beefed that there was only one 4-star on the list, but did not rebut the specifics raised in the letter.
In exclusive comments emailed to ConservativeHQ.com, LTG William G. “Jerry” Boykin, USA, ret., a signer of the letter and former commander of the Army’s elite Delta Force, said “yes, he has been getting the typical liberal pushback on this letter from the same people that questioned Donald Trump's fitness for the past five years."
The letter concludes by urging “all citizens to get involved now at the local, state and/or national level to elect political representatives who will act to Save America, our Constitutional Republic, and hold those currently in office accountable.”
We commend the retired flag officers who have put their names to the letter and commend it to the attention of CHQ readers and friends as a cogent warning of the dire threats facing our country today. This letter will get no serious attention from the progressive apologists in the establishment media and thus we urge CHQ readers and friends to forward this article and links to the letter to their family, friends, church and civic club lists to ensure it gets the widest distribution possible outside the constraints imposed by the liberal media oligopoly.
