Can We Fire Fauci Now?

The astonishing information coming out of the Fauci emails recently released under the Freedom of Information Act reveal Anthony Fauci to be a despicable liar and manipulator

whose conduct as director of the U.S. National Institute of Allergy and Infectious Diseases rivalled the palace intrigues of a Borgia or a Medici – with equally destructive results we might add.

Questions about what Fauci knew and when, especially regarding the origin of the COVID-19 virus and what is now being called the “lab leak theory” have swirled over the past week since thousands of pages of his emails were posted online by BuzzFeed News, which, as noted above, obtained them through the Freedom of Information Act.

They include proof that Fauci was warned that COVID may have been engineered.

As Samuel Chamberlain, Mark Moore and Bruce Golding reported for the New York Post, at the same time Fauci was calling the lab leak theory of the virus’s origins far-fetched – implying it was a far out conspiracy theory – he got a “personal thank you” for backing the “natural origin” theory from the head of a nonprofit that used a $3.4 million government grant to fund research at the Chinese lab suspected of creating the virus.

Peter Daszak, a zoologist and president of the EcoHealth Alliance emailed Fauci on April 18, 2020 saying, “I just wanted to say a personal thank you on behalf of our staff and collaborators, for publicly standing up and stating that the scientific evidence supports a natural origin for COVID-19 from a bat-to-human spillover, not a lab release from the Wuhan Institute of Virology.”

Fauci has admitted to lawmakers that the NIH had allocated $600,000 to the Wuhan Institute of Virology over a five-year period to fund research on whether bat coronaviruses could be transmitted to humans. The money was sent via the EcoHealth Alliance.

Last year, the Wall Street Journal reported that the EcoHealth Alliance used its NIH grant to study coronaviruses in Chinese bats and sent the Wuhan lab $598,000: $133,000 a year from 2014 to 2018 and another $66,000 in 2019.

The five-year grant was renewed for a total of $3.7 million in 2019, and it is worth noting that about the time these emails were being exchanged (April 2020) President Trump killed further funding of the EcoHealth Alliance grant.

Anthony Fauci’s egregious lies covered-up his own connection to the suspect lab and program and amounted to Fauci taking unto himself the conduct of the foreign policy and national security posture of the United States vis-à-vis Communist China, where the virus originated and from whence it was (we believe intentionally) spread around the globe.

Had Fauci told the truth and been honest with the President, Congress, and the public there’s no doubt President Trump would have taken serious steps against the Communist Chinese – but being deprived of the honest information available to Dr. Fauci Trump undertook few steps other than travel restrictions against the Communist perpetrators of the biowarfare attack on America.

Fauci’s role in covering up and lying about the evidence of the COVID-19 virus being engineered in the Wuhan lab was most certainly a firing offense, but it may not be the worst thing that the emails revealed.

From our perspective Fauci’s worst and most destructive act revealed through the emails was his duplicity regarding mask mandates, and the division it has sown in our country.

In an email to Sylvia Burwell, a former secretary of Health and Human Services under Barack Obama and the current president of American University in Washington DC, Fauci said, “Masks are really for infected people to prevent them from spreading infection to people who are not infected rather than protecting uninfected people from acquiring infection…”.

And here’s the kicker: Fauci wrote, “The typical mask you buy in the drug store is not really effective in keeping out virus, which is small enough to pass through the material. It might, however, provide some slight benefit in keep[ing] out gross droplets if someone coughs or sneezes on you. I do not recommend that you wear a mask…”.

So why did Fauci say last month that unvaccinated children should still wear masks while playing with friends?

We think it is now fair to say we know why Fauci has been seen without a mask at a baseball game and other locations – he knew they don’t work, and the mask mandate was about getting Americans to submit to his arbitrary authority, not about preventing the spread of the COVID virus.

Neighbor has been pitted against neighbor over mask mandates. Hundreds, if not thousands of people have been harassed by the police and other authorities about wearing masks – Biden has issued an executive order requiring masks on airliners and at airports, at the risk of a $1,500 fine. Democrat Speaker Nancy Pelosi has been issuing $500 fines to members of Congress who flaunt her mask mandate, and Glendale, California fines citizens $400 for flaunting its mask mandate.

All for a prophylactic measure that Anthony Fauci privately acknowledged does not work.

The mask was seen from the very beginning of this as a symbol of submission – which is why many conservatives and other liberty-minded Americans refused to wear them. Nothing, other than the closure of thousands of small businesses has been worse for the mental health and good will among our people than Fauci’s arbitrary and capricious demands about masks.

Anthony Fauci is a liar, and manipulator and a threat to liberty, firing is hardly enough punishment for his crimes.
