We Endorse SC State Rep. Russell Fry, Pathetic Loser Paul Ryan Backs Incumbent RINO Tom Rice

On Saturday, former President Donald Trump took to his Truth Social platform to call former Speaker of the House Ryan a "pathetic loser" and a "weak RINO" after Ryan suggested there were many Republicans who wanted to impeach the former President.

"Did anyone notice that Fox News went lame (bad!) when weak RINO Paul Ryan, who is despised in the Great State of Wisconsin for being 'a pathetic loser,' went on the Fox Board," Trump said.

Ryan, a Wisconsin Republican who served as speaker of the House from 2015 until 2019, joined Fox Corp's board of directors after he left office.

The Business Insider reported Mr. Trump complained that Fox News wouldn't talk about "an obviously Rigged 2020 Presidential Election," repeating his false claims about election fraud.

"That's why our Country is going to HELL - Elections have consequences. Get Ryan off your Board and report the News as it should be reported. And stop taking negative ads from the perverts, and others!!!"

Ryan traveled to South Carolina last Wednesday to campaign for Republican Rep. Tom Rice, who faces a Trump-backed primary challenger after voting to impeach the former president.

Rice, one of ten House Republicans who voted to impeach Donald Trump for his role in the January 6, 2001 attack on the US Capitol, faces a primary challenge from South Carolina State Rep. Russell Fry.

Since voting to impeach, the Business Insider reports Rice has remained vocal in his condemnation of Trump's actions surrounding the Capitol siege, comparing the former president to a dictator in a May 2021 interview with the Washington Post.

In March, following a rally in South Carolina where Trump criticized Rice, the Republican congressman released a statement lambasting both Trump and Fry.

"If you want a Congressman who supports political violence in Ukraine or in the United States Capitol, who supports party over country, who supports a would-be tyrant over the Constitution, and who makes decisions based solely on re-election, then Russell Fry is your candidate," he said.

Trump was as usual quick to counterpunch, saying "Congressman Tom Rice of South Carolina, the coward who abandoned his constituents by caving to Nancy Pelosi and the Radical Left, and who actually voted against me on Impeachment Hoax #2, must be thrown out of office ASAP," in a February statement announcing his support for Fry.

The Business Insider reported a Trafalgar Group poll released yesterday showed Fry leading the incumbent Rice by more than 17 points.

We opposed Paul Ryan when he was first promoted for Speaker by the John Boehner cabal, and our concerns about Ryan’s arrogance and lack of commitment to conservative principles have been proven by his subsequent actions.

Paul Ryan turned out to be the worst Republican Speaker of the House in the history of the GOP, we would say the worst in the history of the Republic, but he is edged out narrowly by the grossly corrupt Democrat Jim Wright.

Ryan singlehandedly killed many key elements of the MAGA agenda while he was Speaker of the House, killing the wall on the southern border and the repeal of Obamacare being Ryan’s two most damaging acts of sabotage of the Trump agenda.

As Speaker, Ryan was for all intents and purposes missing in action as the leader of the Republican Conference, and when he did surface it was to criticize President Trump. As we see it, the 2018 and 2020 elections would not have even been close if Paul Ryan and the House Republican leadership had embraced and passed Donald Trump’s conservative agenda.

All politics is local is how Democrats win elections. Republicans never win major elections unless they nationalize them around big conservative themes. However, Ryan and his establishment consultants did everything possible to convince Republicans to run on local issues, because other than tax cuts, Ryan gave nothing to House Republicans to run on in 2018.

Contrary to Ryan’s advice to run on tax cuts, Trump’s agenda of building the wall, enforcing our immigration laws, putting troops at the border, standing for the right to life, cutting regulations, putting Americans back to work and keeping their promises were themes that won close elections for Republicans in 2018 and 2020.

Trump was right about Paul Ryan being a pathetic loser, and Ryan’s pal incumbent RINO Rep. Tom Rice is cut from the same cloth. We think the citizens of South Carolina’s 7th Congressional District deserve a representative who believes in, and will fight to govern America according to, conservative principles. Which is why we are proud to join former President Donald Trump in endorsing South Carolina State Rep. Russell Fry to be the next Congressman representing South Carolina’s 7th Congressional District.
