President Trump’s team won a major victory in Pennsylvania Commonwealth Court today. That victory confirmed that the law requires observers get meaningful access within six feet of the vote counting in Philadelphia. The Trump campaign is also pursuing and slowly winning other key election integrity lawsuits. However, Democrats continue to defy the law and court orders.
"On the heels of this ruling, Democrats are blatantly defying the law,” said Justin Clark, Trump 2020 Deputy Campaign Manager and Senior Counsel. “These Democrats are blocking the doors to the counting center and pushing our observers outside the building while they continue to count votes inside with zero transparency. What are they hiding?
"To stop the Democrats from their shady and illegal defiance of the court’s order, President Trump’s campaign has filed suit in federal court,” continued Mr. Clark. “We are fighting to enforce our observers’ constitutional right to due process that Philadelphia County Democrats are blatantly denying.
"President Trump’s team will fight for transparency and accountability as long as it takes to ensure the integrity of the election for the good of Pennsylvania and of the nation."
With regard to Georgia, Mr. Clark said, "President Trump and his team are fighting for the good of the nation to uphold the rule of law, and Georgia’s law is very clear: to legally count, mail ballots must be received by 7:00 p.m. on Election Day. That’s still the law, even after Democrats sued earlier this year to extend the deadline and delay Election Day—President Trump and Republicans fought to uphold Georgia law, and we won.
"But today, a Republican poll observer in Georgia witnessed 53 late absentee ballots illegally added to a stack of on-time absentee ballots in Chatham County. We will not allow Democrat election officials to steal this election from President Trump with late, illegal ballots. President Trump and the Georgia Republican Party have filed suit to require all Georgia counties to separate any and all late-arriving ballots from all legally cast ballots to ensure a free, fair election in which only legal, valid ballots count.
"We look forward to the court swiftly resolving this issue and to President Trump’s upcoming repeat win in Georgia."
Reporting on Michigan Trump campaign manager Bill Stepien said, “As votes in Michigan continue to be counted, the presidential race in the state remains extremely tight as we always knew it would be. President Trump’s campaign has not been provided with meaningful access to numerous counting locations to observe the opening of ballots and the counting process, as guaranteed by Michigan law. We have filed suit today in the Michigan Court of Claims to halt counting until meaningful access has been granted. We also demand to review those ballots which were opened and counted while we did not have meaningful access. President Trump is committed to ensuring that all legal votes are counted in Michigan and everywhere else.
