If you’re anything like me, you’re sick of “pride month”.
However, if you dare speak your feelings in the wrong company you could receive a lecture from a liberal or a dirty look from the young and intolerant or worse yet, be accused of bigotry from a member of the mainstream establishment media -- or an academic -- but it’s hard to take switching TV channels and being bombarded with a parade of rainbows while listening to commercial voices bragging about how “alphabet people” (Dave Chappelle’s descriptive term for the group) are welcome and honored in their places of domicile.
For those not in the LGBTQIA+ classification, does this mean we don’t have pride in ourselves and who we are because we did things the old-fashioned one man/one woman way? Should a male who married a cisgender female lots of years ago and then combined to parent children not have pride in their accomplishments? How twisted is our culture when it’s those who are the most deviant from classic norms are granted license to trumpet how “proud” they are of what they are?
Or, in the alternative, are the other eleven months on the calendar reserved for pride in “normal” relations?
How stupid has it gotten? Last week the struggling fast food chain Burger King announced that it was launching an “Equal Buns” campaign (in Austria), where the famous Whopper sandwich (a really big hamburger for those not familiar with perhaps the worst of the fast and cheap restaurant genre) was to be served with either two “top” buns (with sesame seeds) or two bottom halves encompassing the meat, cheese and various other additives.
The accompanying message for the “Pride Whopper” went like this: "Equal rights. Empathy. Understanding. No matter where you come from, no matter who you love, no matter what you look like or what you believe in: Time to be proud."
Does consuming a non-traditional burger -- like the “Pride Whopper” -- equate to showing “pride” and tolerance in lesbian, gay, bisexual, transgender, queer and I (what is this?) and A (what is this?) and “plus” (?) couplings and pairings? Can anyone translate? Does flying on an airline that embraces pride month mean when you reach cruising altitude of 38,000 feet that you’ve officially cast off all prejudices and are ready to land and join the ranks of the “woke” enlightened?
Then there was about half of the pitching staff of the Tampa Bay Rays who refused to don rainbow caps and wear patches on their uniforms in defiance of the team management’s “pride” celebration, with a spokesman for the collection of brave anti-mind-numbed non-conformist players explaining that the “pride” gesture didn’t agree with their individual Christian religious beliefs -- and even in not doing so, they still welcomed everyone regardless of sexual preference to come to the ballpark to have a good time.
Why aren’t there more of these “valiant” souls who take a stand against the prevailing intolerant leftist mindset?
Is the fear of “cancel culture” so intense that corporate America is beholden to a portion of the overly judgmental public that statistically constitutes well below ten percent of the entire population? Has the transgender craze gotten so out of control that TV producers and media outlets fear a backlash of cancellations if they don’t accede to the “pride” ultimatums and run advertisements to pacify the extremists? Is there something stimulating about seeing two humans claiming to be male kissing each other on a Coke commercial?
Have there been any studies about industries that didn’t do anything different in June -- and just went about as their business as usual? Did the “pride” people stop patronizing them because they chose not to chase the rainbow?
Let’s not forget that the newly minted federal holiday “Juneteenth” arrives next week (the actual day is the 19th, but it will be observed this year on Monday, June 20th). Does this mean leftist activists will take a break from expressing their “pride” in openly homosexual and transgender relationships and move along to feeling warm and fuzzies over the anniversary of when African slaves and their descendants were finally set free over a hundred and fifty years ago?
It seems logical that the more these types of subjects are forced upon the majority of Americans, the severer the rebound reaction will be. It’s a good thing for Republicans that Democrats are the ones promoting such absurdities. President senile Joe Biden seems in need of something to champion when he goes out the road these days that isn’t related to his multitude of real-world problems, like high gasoline prices and inflation. Perhaps Joe should show some “pride” along the way. It could be just the ticket to midterm success!

You mean ol’ good guy Joe Biden is prone to salty language? Does this mean the back slappin’, shoulders massagin’, hairdo sniffin’, child repellin’, senate staffer molestin’, nude swimmin’, Republican bashin’ career swamp dweller is a different person in private than he is in public -- and that he’s not so “genuine” after all?
And if it seems like senile Joe is out of the loop, it’s because he is out of the loop. Here’s thinking Biden probably was briefed about the baby food dilemma several months ago but his limited attention span was devoted to worrying about Vladimir Putin and what might come out of the Ukraine situation if son Hunter’s sleazy former business cohorts were backed into a corner and forced to talk.
It doesn’t take a genius to surmise that senile Joe’s speechwriters have difficulty assembling texts for the doddering old coot to spout on the stump. Therefore, “Pride” month provides him the perfect guise to express his views on the topic. Imagine the news coverage of Biden explaining how many genders there are and why men who think they’re women should be permitted in girls sports and in female locker rooms.
The subject would soar like a lead balloon with the voters. But it would shore up the support of the Democrats’ most devoted constituency: freaks, outcasts and deviants. Every crack addict or transgender prostitute on Hollywood Boulevard would instantaneously volunteer for the Biden ’24 campaign!
Then, when senile Joe finishes explaining the gender controversy and why Americans should dismiss their lifelong attachment to traditional morals and values, he can launch into a diatribe defending abortion. There was a report last week that the Biden White House is discussing a strategy for dealing with the expected “death” of Roe v. Wade when it’s announced, so time is running short to ensure the largest freakout possible!
Democrats should cease promoting themselves as the party of inclusion and start touting how they’re the purveyors of exclusion. There no longer is any room in Democrat-land for Americans who believe in traditional marriage or that nature includes only two genders. Likewise, the once appreciable minority of Democrats who harbored pro-life views has shrunk to near zero.
The liberal party’s positions on cultural issues shifted left long ago and it’s almost impossible to find any Democrats defending parents and caretakers who object to teaching sexuality and secular alternative lifestyle practices to children in government schools. Merely objecting to the prevailing movements in liberal culture has injected controversy into topics that were universally accepted just a decade ago.
Recall how Barack Obama campaigned against same-sex marriage in 2008 but reversed his position while running for reelection in 2012? The Illinois opportunist figured he couldn’t win in 2008 if he came out in favor of the then-minority position. As a side note, Joe Biden claims credit for changing the Big O’s mind ten years ago.
Obama draped the White House in rainbow colors after the Supreme Court declared there was a “right” to same-sex marriage. Why shouldn’t Joe paint Air Force One in a similar color scheme for “Pride” month? Or make some other public profession of his support for the LBGTQIA+ agenda? If he’s truly upset about his approval ratings sinking below Donald Trump’s, he should go even farther out on a limb, not rein things in!
Senile president Joe Biden clearly wants to shake things up in his faltering administration, and going further out on a limb to insult traditional Americans with a leftist cultural offensive of “Pride” and abortion seems to be just the ticket for him. Conservatives didn’t ask for the culture war, but men like Biden have definitely given it to us. Why should Joe try to disguise it?
