The Right Resistance: Seven reasons why impeaching senile Joe Biden could equal disaster

Impeach Joe Biden!

We’ve all heard the catchy refrain at various times during senile president Joe Biden’s twenty-eight-plus months in office, with well-intentioned and principled conservatives and Republicans taking turns voicing their displeasure with the behavior, fitness and policies of the current Democrat commander in chief. Heck, if it were up to many of us, and we had the power, we would’ve proposed articles of impeachment against the Delaware career swamp dweller on January 20, 2021, arguing Biden had already committed high crimes and misdemeanors just by lying during his oath of office.

You may recall senile Joe pledged to uphold the nation’s governing charter and laws in his oath that day: “I Joeseph Robinette Biden Jr. do solemnly swear that I will faithfully execute the Office of President of the United States, and will to the best of my Ability, preserve, protect and defend the Constitution of the United States. So help me God.”

Senile Joe knew he had no ability, and fell into the office through very questionable circumstances, so therefore, Biden was a liar and perjurer from the get-go. If Democrats were honest, which we know they’re not, they would’ve agreed with us that senile Joe deserved to be removed from the White House ever since, be it through formal impeachment proceedings or the much more subjective process outlined in the 25th Amendment (removal for temporary or permanent incapacity). The latter course would be subject to the ambitions and purview of vice president cackling Kamala Harris and also would require assent from the majority of Biden’s cabinet full of liberal crooks, ideologues, stooges and identity politicians, all of whom depend on senile Joe for their patronage positions, so the odds of getting it done this way would be extremely long to impossible.

Perhaps acknowledging this obstacle, and not wishing for the country to endure the corrupted dictates from sleazy senile Joe himself for a moment longer, one member of Congress decided to do something about it last week. In a piece titled “Greene to file articles of impeachment against Biden”, Jared Gans reported at The Hill:

“Rep. Marjorie Taylor Greene (R-Ga.) announced plans to file articles of impeachment against President Biden [last week], alleging he has violated his oath of office in not securing the country’s borders and protecting national security...

“’It is with the highest amount of solemnity that I announce my intention to introduce articles of impeachment today on the head of this America-last executive branch, that has been working since Jan. 20, 2021, to systematically destroy this country, the president of the United States, Joseph Robinette Biden,’ Greene said.

“Her announcement comes after she said [last] Tuesday that she would introduce articles of impeachment against FBI Director Christopher Wray and Matthew Graves, the U.S. attorney for the District of Columbia. Greene said she has also introduced articles of impeachment against Attorney General Merrick Garland and Secretary of Homeland Security Alejandro Mayorkas.”

Dang, that’s a lot of impeaching, don’t you think? It’s almost as though we’d merit a bulk price for getting it done all at once, wouldn’t we? Can’t you picture Biden leading the long line of accused criminal Democrats and deep staters into the senate chamber like a chain gang on a dusty rural road? I’m sure there’d be more than enough volunteers to don badges and carry shotguns to guard the prisoners, too.

In all seriousness, the firebrand conscience of conservative Americans, Marjorie Taylor-Greene, deserves much credit for speaking out on matters that few else have the guts to utter in public. MTG’s reasoning for impeaching Biden is solid as a rock, and in a sane world – and government – objective “jurists” wouldn’t need much additional persuasion to vote for his removal from office.

But with 51 Democrats (the current total in the upper chamber, dependent on Sen. Dianne Feinstein’s physical presence and Sen. John Fetterman’s brain capacity on any given day) sitting in judgment, there’s no way a third of them would ever agree to politically dispatch senile Joe. For they realize, through decades of experience with the old goat, that he’s easily manipulated and that there’s not a principled, law-abiding bone in his body. Therefore, with a conviction on impeachment charges literally out of the realm of possibility, here are seven reasons why the House would be crazy to pursue MTG’s worthy but fruitless mission:

First, as argued above, the effort would be doomed to fail from the outset. As we learned during the two separate unsuccessful impeachments of former president Donald Trump (one of which came after he’d already left office), just because the House has the partisan power to pass formal impeachment articles doesn’t mean the basically evenly divided senate will go along with them. In today’s hyper-divided tribal political environment, it’d be virtually unworkable to get two-thirds of senators to agree to remove a Democrat president. One gathers that Republicans would at least weigh the evidence in such a trial, but Democrats care only about the letter coming after the person’s name. The office-holder could be guilty as sin – as Biden surely is – and he or she wouldn’t be brought down in a decade’s worth of Sundays. Talk about being “above the law.” Democrats are hypocrites. Second, we conservatives wouldn’t want to do anything that would distract the House from its current unofficial designation as leaders of the limited government/liberty movement in Congress.

Though time limitations are much less of a problem for the majority party in the House, the current Kevin McCarthy-led Republicans have enough to worry about without chasing a Joe Biden impeachment fantasy down a rabbit hole. McCarthy has surprised many conservatives, myself included, with his ability to convince his “moderate” boobirds to go along with conservatives on a number of important votes, but it’s somewhat doubtful he could herd all the cats to impeach Joe Biden.

Since stalemate is already practically guaranteed in the upper chamber, shouldn’t McCarthy and company concentrate on applying pressure to Biden in other ways? The investigations into Biden family wrongdoing are going well. Don’t slow or halt the momentum now. Sorry, MTG. Third, the last thing conservatives and Republicans need now is to turn senile Joe Biden into a sympathetic character.

Senile Joe is doing a pretty solid job of destroying his own presidency with his groundless defenses of horrific policies, so why provide him a potential opening to right his listing approval rating ship by making him look like a victim of a partisan witch hunt? Didn’t Bill Clinton rebound beautifully from his own late 90’s impeachment? Big Bubba could’ve made moves on every underaged girl in the universe and Democrats still wouldn’t convict him of anything.

Joe Biden is as filthy as they come in Washington, which is saying a lot, but he would emerge from impeachment the same as the day before the trial began. And the gullible low-information voter crowd might even feel sorry for the doddering fool heading into the heart of the 2024 campaign. It’s possible, isn’t it? Fourth, unlike with Trump’s first impeachment, Republicans do not control the senate. Therefore, current Majority Leader “Chucky” Schumer would be in charge of setting the calendar and would do everything within his grasp to shape the proceedings as an anti-Biden “show trial” carried out by partisan Republicans bearing verbal hanging nooses and mock guillotines. “Chucky” might just be the most partisan hack in all of the swamp, and he’s never shied away from using his position to further party goals, no matter how sinister. Under Schumer, Biden wouldn’t receive a fair trial-by-senator. It would be a days- or weeks-long commercial for Democrat candidates in local, district, state and national races in 2024. Why provide “Chucky” the forum to shamelessly grandstand?

Fifth, the trajectory of the investigations already being conducted by the House and certain senators has a better than average chance of winning in the court of public opinion, the only place it matters at this point.

As hinted at above, the current House investigations are just beginning to bear fruit, starting with Rep. James Comer’s look into the Biden family finances and crooked influence peddling operations. In other words, if we’re already making headway on showing voters how awful another term with Joe Biden as president would be, why not let the process run its course?

Sixth, a doomed-to-fail impeachment effort could possibly force the heavily favored to be the Republican nominee off his “game” in order to dredge up more angst about his own trials from his first term.

Donald Trump doesn’t need another excuse to head on a tangent unrelated to what he’d do as president if he wins (officially, this time) a second term. Impeaching Biden would drain Trump of focus while also reminding independent voters why they didn’t like Trump in the first place.

Lastly, a successful impeachment effort, no matter how unlikely, would elevate Kamala Harris to the presidency and make her an incumbent heading into the 2024 election.

Hard as it is to concede, but there’s someone in Washington who’d be even worse than senile Joe Biden as president. Kamala Harris is the best insurance policy (against impeachment) that Biden, or anyone else, could ever dream up. Didn’t Obama pick senile Joe as his running mate for a similar assurance?

No doubt the notion of impeaching Joe Biden for the multitude of wrongs he’s inflicted on America is a pleasing idea to a lot of conservatives, but upon close examination, trying it would be a big mistake for Republicans. Senile Joe is doing a great job of making the case for why he shouldn’t be reelected next year, so why interfere when he’s wrecking himself?
