Our good friend Dan Bongino, the former Secret Service agent and NYC police officer whom we endorsed in his two races for Congress and follow assiduously on Fox News,
Twitter and through his podcast is facing a health crisis and needs our prayers.
Dan confirmed during a recent appearance on Fox & Friends that he has a serious health issue involving a tumor in his neck.
As Bongino told the Fox News audience last Monday:
I get lipomas – fatty tumors once in a while. They’re benign, I’ve never had any issue with them at all and I noticed there was a lump on the left side of my neck about two weeks ago. I thought it was from grappling-- I had gotten choked out a couple of times, I didn’t think any of it so I went to get an MRI thinking it was a lipoma and when I rolled out of the machine, there is nothing worse than having a radiologist look at ya and I said “It’s a lipoma, right?” And he said “no, it is not a lipoma.”
Bongino added during his Fox & Friends appearance last Monday:
I missed Tuesday’s [Hannity Sept. 22] show that night. I never cancel on Sean, ever. I’m always on on Tuesday and when he found out, he called. He spent two hours on the phone and connected me to I think every doctor known to humankind that could help me out. Thanks to him, I got a biopsy and I’m hoping to get the results today and, obviously, hoping for the best.
To this point, Dan has not revealed the results of the biopsy – noting only that he will be having surgery on Wednesday, October 7th.*
But the diagnosis and planned surgery haven’t kept Dan Bongino down.
In a Twitter barrage worthy of Trump himself, Bongino tore into former Senator and political irrelevancy Claire McCaskill after she criticized President Trump’s car ride past the well-wishers assembled outside Walter Reed hospital.
"We should ALWAYS care about the Secret Service. But it’s fascinating how the media ONLY seems to give a shit about their safety when they can use it to bash Trump," Bongino wrote to his more than 2.4 million followers responding to what appeared to be part of a news story on the ride.
"I coordinated security for Obama in a war zone in Afghanistan & I don’t recall 1 story about our safety then," Bongino added according to reporting by The Hill’s Joe Concha.
"What a jerk. To equate a President visiting troops in a war zone to a selfish narcissistic need to drive around the block to wave to a small group of his fans is embarrassing," McCaskill responded.
"Tell that to my daughter, you epic piece of garbage, as she used to cry uncontrollably when she found out her dad was in a hot-zone for the safety of another. Delete your account you hack, you don’t know shit about honor, integrity, or dignity," Bongino shot back.
"I am so proud and in awe of the men and women who serve in our military, risking their lives for our country. Mr Bone Spurs, who wanted to take a ride around the block to see his fans, not so much," McCaskill responded, not willing to let another opportunity to trash Trump get away.
"NO ONE is proud of you. You’re a fraud. And a coward," Bongino replied, getting the last word.
