It’s Not A Government, It’s A Wrecking Operation

Updated: Aug 24, 2021

Let’s try a little a thought experiment, or what Albert Einstein called a Gedankenexperiment. What would you do if you wanted to destroy the United States of America as it has existed since its inception, or even just as it has existed since the end of World War II?

One of the first things you would do would be to attack the founding documents that legitimize the United States, and their authors.

You would, as the creators and proponents of Critical Race Theory and the 1619 Project have done, present the United States as irredeemably racist and its foundation conceived not to achieve “life, liberty and the pursuit of happiness” for its citizens, but to sustain white supremacy.

And you would dismiss as a white supremacist and racist anyone who pointed out the Founders were self-admittedly flawed human beings striving to create something entirely new, and who by asserting that “all men are created equal,” set in motion the county’s march toward a colorblind society with equal opportunity for all.

And having sown the seeds of racial division you would, as Joe Biden and his Far Left Democrat allies have done, pay people to teach it and force people to take classes to indoctrinate a skeptical public. And then you would proceed to create government programs that specifically discriminate against white people and others who do not fall into favored categories.

And you would do this even as the courts have said you can’t, as Evan Gerstmann observed in an article for Forbes:

These exclusions [in the COVID relief bill] go well beyond traditional affirmative action plans. While this has been occurring at the state and local level, the Biden Administration has pursued this new approach most doggedly, across a broad array of relief funds, with billions of dollars being marked as off-limits to white business owners and farmers regardless of need.

Two different federal courts, including a federal appellate court (which is one level below the United States Supreme Court) have issued injunctions against these racial exclusions in relief programs for restaurant owners. Now, a third federal court has issued a temporary restraining order against Biden’s racially exclusionary farm and ranch relief program.

This new decision concerns Section 1005 of the American Rescue Plan of 2021 (ARPA). Under this law, “the Secretary [of Agriculture] shall provide a payment in the amount of up to 120 percent of the outstanding indebtedness of each socially disadvantaged farmer or rancher. . .”. The Department of Agriculture interprets “socially disadvantaged” to include farmers or ranchers “who are one or more of the following: Black/African American, American Indian, Alaskan native, Hispanic/Latino, Asian or Pacific Islander.” As the court describes it: “the loan forgiveness program is based entirely on the race of the farmer or rancher.”

Yet, the Biden-supported, Democrat-authored infrastructure bill the Senate passed discriminates against white people at every turn.

The bill includes grants to install solar or wind technologies and generate jobs in areas decimated by closing coal mines or coal-fired electric plants. Here’s the catch: When contractors bid, the bill says minority-owned businesses will get selected first. Bad news for small-time white contractors in depressed areas.

The same is true for the bill’s proposals to improve traffic patterns in cities. Contractors and subcontractors get priority only if they’re owned by minorities or women. White male business owners can take a hike, wrote Betsy McCaughey for The New York Post.

As far back as 1989, the Supreme Court ruled that the Equal Protection Clause of the Constitution bars government from trying to even the score by discriminating against whites and in favor of minorities. The justices warned then against creating “a patchwork of racial preferences based on statistical generalizations” to correct past injustices.

That’s precisely what this infrastructure bill does because the intention of the bill’s authors is not to fix deteriorating infrastructure, but to wreck the social cohesion of the United States.

And to further the goal of destroying the social cohesion of the country you would import millions of illegal aliens who have no commitment to the country’s foundational principles, and often seem to actually resent them.

As Tim Murtaugh pointed out in an article for the Heritage Foundation’s Daily Signal, the border crisis is no accident. it’s Biden making good on campaign promises.

Biden campaigned for president promising an array of enticements for people to break our laws to enter this country. And Axios revealed that “about 50,000 migrants who crossed the southern border illegally have now been released in the United States without a court date.”

The report indicates that it is “unprecedented” for border agents to set illegal immigrants free without giving them official notice to appear in court.

More than 1 million arrests have been made involving people trying to cross the U.S.-Mexico border since last October. The last time we saw that many stops in one year was 15 years ago, and there are still two months left in the current fiscal year.

Further, the 178,000 arrests made in June alone marked a 20-year high for the month. That follows other, similar monthly records being broken.

We don’t have to imagine this as part of our Gedankenexperiment, because it’s reality, and it’s no accident. It’s what Joe Biden promised he would do.

What’s more, in order to make sure the damage was practically irreversible you would spend some $6 trillion on this discriminatory infrastructure plan and a similarly discriminatory “Green New Deal” – much of it borrowed from our Communist Chinese enemies – to drive the local, state and national government debt of the United States to an unsustainable $30 trillion-plus.

And you’d do the same kind of wrecking operation to destroy the rule of law and property rights by simply declaring a moratorium on evictions for those who refuse to pay their rent or mortgage.

Even if the Supreme Court has said such administrative declarations are unconstitutional.

Finally, you would destroy the international respect for the United States and its ability to exert influence upon the international stage.

Since World War II it has been the United States that organized international coalitions to defend liberty and the values of the Western Enlightenment against various tyrannical “isms.” American military power and moral leadership defeated fascism and Nazism, held communism at bay and ultimately broke the Communist Soviet Union, and encouraged a world order based on economic and personal liberty.

But there are two “isms” that Joe Biden and his Far Left Democrat allies have not only refused to fight, but have embraced – Socialism and Islamism – both of which are seriously eroding America’s moral leadership and will to defend Western Enlightenment values.

And if that moral leadership is destroyed by abandoning faithful allies to torture and death, all that is left is military power. And if that is shown to be at best a spent force led by incompetents or even worse, a paper tiger incapable of projecting national power, what’s left of American leadership?

In reviewing the results of our Gedankenexperiment it is clear to us that incompetence can’t explain what’s been happening since Joe Biden was sworn-in as President of the United States. Institutions that have existed for decades take time to crumble, even when led by incompetents. But what we are seeing from the Joe Biden “administration” is not a government, however incompetently run, trying to do its duty to its citizens. It is a conscious wrecking operation intended to destroy the foundational institutions of the United States. And it is succeeding with such rapidity it should make every citizen wonder if the country can survive until the next presidential election offers some hope of putting an end to the destruction.
